Zahra trouvée dans la rue avec 6 bébés .

Here’s a sweet photo of “The Boss”, our lovely Raoudha, with Zahra – a new mum who was found living on the streets with her six babies.  It has been suggested that some of the animals found on the streets choose to live that way.  With respect, that’s a load of piffle, and a poor excuse to leave animals on the streets.  For a start, dogs are pack animals, therefore they need company.  Cats are more independant, but they still need companionship. As you can see, Zahra’s a sweet girl.

Very often we see images, both heartening and heartbreaking, of animals and the armed forces.  Here, we see one of the former: a member of the Tunisian military, playing with a cat.

It is very heartwarming when we see images of genuine affection between human and animal.

Bravo, to all of you!

What a gorgeous girl, eh!  Young Fish, or Peche (pronounced pesh) is a Persian cross breed, and is only 2 years old.  She’s a beauty, and whilst her coat will have to be regularly brushed, long-haired cats usually love the sensation!

Sterilization – what it involves (photos of surgery)

Below you can see Dr Raoudha Mansour operating on a female cat, spaying her.

Des sterilisations 100_6922100_6923100_6924

It has been proved time and time again, that neutering a male or, in females, spaying, is not only kinder for the animal concerned, it also prevents unwanted kittens, prevents possible disease, and the animal is happier.

There is an old wives’ tale that un-neutered or un-spayed cats are better hunters.  Wrong!  Some of our supporters have, and have had, neutered males and females over the years, all prolific hunters.  Our English translator has found that their female cats, all spayed, are more prolific hunters than the males.  So please, sterilize your pets, whether they be dogs, cats, rabbits or otherwise.

The circumstances of their mother’s treatment isn’t currently clear, but needless to say she’s been ill-treated. Well, she’s given birth to some beauties!  See them below:- 100_6971100_6970100_6968
