Sadly, in some circumstances, animal lovers have to give up their pet for health reasons. Through no fault of her own, this happened to the little lady here. Sheila, who isn’t even a year old yet, has been confined to SOS Animaux throughout June. She’s been spoilt by us (and why not!), she’s a little beauty and very affectionate. She’s waiting for a loving Forever Home.
IT’S FAIR
In this photo you see young Omar, a little Mkachakh* during the adoption of Bella.
This is a particularly poignant adoption; Bella will now be spending her holidays with her new “bionic feet” in the water! We are so happy for her; she deserves it!
* A Tunisian football team.
Thanks to our two friends Mari and Margeritta, “Miracle” (MIRA for short) left for Luxembourg and is now in her new “Forever Home”!
As you can gather, the photo above shows our intrepid traveller on her arrival at the airport, at the start of her journey.
Talk about the “red carpet treatment”! This is lovely.
On the left, in her new Forever Home, she’s getting to know her red cushion bed. Or, if she prefers the human bed (and, let’s face it, they do!), she’s getting used to that one, too – as you can see here!
We are all so happy for our lovely Mira, and it goes without saying that huge thanks go to her new “Forever Family”.
Thank you!
Formally adopted today (Thursday 17th June 2010), this young lady is en route to Europe; she caught the plane at 5 o’clock this afternoon. If you drop in on this site regularly, we can keep you posted on her progress. When she arrives, you’ll be able to see her in her new, Forever Home.
A very big Thank You to the ladies who set this adoption going!
We’re so happy for this lovely girl.
It just goes to show that real-life stories can have wonderful endings!
Do you remember Valda? (click to read)
Well, what a lot has happened after 4 months! She’s doubled her weight ….. but I have to say it’s not due to lack of exercise! She spends her days running round, and watching the world go by with those gentle eyes of hers. She especially flutters her eyelids at anybody who might give her something to eat!
But the main development ….. wait for it …. is that our Valda has become an expert footballer! David Beckham eat your heart out! You can see her here having fun thanks to our lovely Nicolle …..
The photo above was taken the other day, 29th of May 2010.
A father came from Tunis with his two children, to adopt two puppies and become a member of SOS Animaux. God only knows how much these two little angels needed a family.
Our thanks go to this lovely gentleman for having such a big heart. Thank you.
This was the state of a young girl-pup rescued yesterday by a tourist, in the centre of Nabeul. She’s only about 5 weeks old and was found to be full of ticks. She’s now had a bath, and smells and looks gorgeous. Of course, she’s also had her necessary medical treatment.
I’m so proud of Mrs Fethia, who has adopted this handicapped pup. The pup was found in the streets of Tunis, and after spending a month with us at SOS Animals HQ, today he left with his new Mum for his new life in Sousse.
Thank you!
